They tend to reinforce emotional difficulties, and therefore the reasons for eating badly or too much. I am a certified coach and hypnotherapist. Specialized in NeuroCognitive and Behavioral Approach (ANC), trained in NLP and EFT and strategic therapy, I have several thousand hours of coaching to my credit. Suffice to say that I know thoughts and emotions. Indeed, thoughts, emotions and behaviors have a direct impact on each other. Imposing restrictive eating behavior weighs on emotions (sadness, disgust with life, etc.) and thoughts ("I'm useless, I'll never succeed, I have no willpower), and sometimes creates real neuroses that are added to those that are at the origin of the inefficient eating behavior. And therefore reinforces this behavior rather than reversing it.
